تشارك بعثة الاتحاد الخماسي الحديث لبنان في بطولة كأس العالم التي تقام في مصر من ٢٥ شباط الجاري إلى ٢ آذار المقبل.
وترأس البعثة رئيس الاتحاد اللبناني للعبة المهندس روكز زغيب، وعضوية رئيس اللجنة الفنية كيفورك ألتونيان واللاعبين واللاعبات لارا عبدو، ميشال يارد وعماد جزيني.
ويشارك في البطولة أكثر من ٢٥٠ لاعبا ولاعبة من ٢٥ دولة.
والخماسي الحديث هو جمعٌ لخمس ألعاب رياضية يقوم بتنفيذها رياضي واحد، وهي: ركض- سباحة- حواجز- مبارزة الشيش والرماية بالليزر.
